On September 29, 2024, CFC New York and its family ministries came together at Juniper Valley Park for the annual ANCOP Walk, despite the downpour of rain! Nothing can stop the hearts of volunteers – not even a storm! This event was a true testament to the resilience and dedication of everyone who gathered to support the mission of ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor).
Supporting Education Through Solidarity
The ANCOP USA Walk is the largest fundraising event of the year, helping provide education to disadvantaged students across five countries, including the Philippines. This year’s walk had a special virtual theme: From Turin to Rome, totaling 1,000 miles! It’s inspiring to see how families and communities come together to walk not just for the cause but with the cause in their hearts.
A Message of Gratitude and Hope
Bro. Jerry Mariano, CFC Regional Head for Northeast A, and Sis. Marvie Mariano, ANCOP Northeast A Regional Coordinator, shared a powerful message of gratitude, praising everyone who braved the weather to support the less fortunate. They reminded us that our efforts directly impact the lives of students in need, providing them with school supplies, uniforms, and more. Every step, every dollar raised, brings hope to those who need it most.
